About the project

In this short video Bill Kitson, historian and former Curator of the Museum of Lands, Mapping and Surveying talks about early Queensland surveyors and how they played a role in shaping the state. From laying out towns to mapping out ports and harbours, he explains the work of surveyors that still has effects today.
