A compendium of the Frontier Wars in South East Queensland

This is the first in a series of books dedicated to the historical frontier conflict for the control of prime grazing lands and water resources. In 1840 pastoral migration spread from KIilcoy to Maryborough and Bundaberg. From there it continued on the Dawson and Rockhampton.

Battlefront 1 will assess the role of the squatters and Native Police during this period of the conflicts that encompassed the stern resistance in the lands of the Butchulla at Tiaro, K’gari and Maryborough; the Gooreng Gooreng at Gin Gin and Paddy’s Island; the Iman at Hornet Bank and the Kari at Cullin-la-Ringo, and finally the massacres at the mining camps of Morinish and Rosewood.
