We have acquired the excerpts from the Gossner Mission journal pertaining to the Zion Hill mission in Moreton Bay (now Nundah), 1838-1844, with kind permission from the translator, former John Oxley librarian Colin Sheehan, and Frank Uhr for whom he translated them into English. They provide interesting glimpses into first encounters with the Aboriginal people of Moreton Bay and are difficult to access in their original German version.
