Aboriginal elder Darby McCarthy and Dr Mark Copland, an alumnus of Griffith university, discuss the creation story of Mee-wah or Table Top Mountain near Toowoomba with Belinda Sanders (ABC Southern Queensland). The legend of its flat top is the centre of a tourism project by the Toowoomba Regional Council’s Heritage Advisory Committee. Table Top Mountain, also known as One Tree Hill, was the stronghold from which Multuggerah and his Aboriginal warriors attacked and defeated European settlers in 1843.
